The Melo-Knicks drama has continued for way too long. The Knicks for the longest time have wanted to trade Carmelo Anthony and now they have backed off that but Melo has been adamant about being traded to Houston in particular. The Knicks are not happy with the offers provides, so lets look at some teams that could enter the Melo sweepstakes.

Portland TrailBlazers:

This one has been getting lots of attention after the comments made by Lillard and McCollum. The Blazers have some pieces to offer like Aminu, Crabbe, Turner, Leonard and Harkless. This move makes sense for the Blazers as they get a 3rd scorer and one on the wings, giving them more options to compete against the West best.

Milwaukee Bucks:

The Bucks are on the fringe of being a title contender. Their youth has struggled to stay healthy with Parker and Middleton missing good chunks of time. A trade for Melo would give them a go to scorer and a legit threat on the wings to help the Greek Freak out. It also sends a strong message that the Bucks are all in and helps in Giannis contracts in the future. The Bucks have 2-ways to get a deal done. One is to offer their expiring contracts along with Matthew Delladova or the other is possibly offering Middleton or Parker straight up. Getting Middleton or Parker would be a great get for the Knicks but getting cap space with a draft pick would be fine too.

Washington Wizards:

Another team that is on the cusp of being a title contender. The Wizards need to provide Beal and Wall a 3rd scorer, this is one way to get that. They also need to prove to Wall that they all are in as he still has not signed the extension. The Wizards could offer Otto Porter straight up or offer Morris and Oubre with a draft pick. It would be tricky but a trade could definitely get done and the Wizards become an instant title contender.

Toronto Raptors:

Here is another Eastern Conference team that could use Melo. With the East being weaker its easier to get to a conference finals or a NBA Finals and Melo provides some of these top teams an option to beat the Cavs. The Raptors have gone all in by re-signing both Lowry and Ibaka but that won't be enough to beat the Cavs or even the Celtics. They need a scorer like Melo to have a shot against the Cavs. Acquiring Melo would be harder but they can dangle Norman Powell. The contracts would not match, which would require a 3rd-team buts its not out of the question.
