New York Giants v. Dallas Cowboys Preview
The New York Giants and the Dallas Cowboys meet once again Sunday night in East Rutherford, New Jersey in the first meeting since the Giants handed the Cowboys their only loss of the season back in week 1. Since then, Dallas has won eleven straight, while New York remains only a half game above Washington for the wild card spot.
The Cowboys will be looking to lean on their two rookie playmakers like they have all season with Dak Prescott and Ezekial Elliott playing a major role in their 11 game win streak. Protected by arguably the best offensive line in football, Elliott comes into Sunday's game leading the NFL in rushing yards, while Prescott has a QBR of 85.8
The Giants will look to find Odell Beckham Jr often throughout the night, unlike the week one matchup when Beckham only had four receptions for 73 yards. The defensive line for the G-Men will also have to get into the backfield and hold Dallas from creating big plays behind their O-line. Romeo Okwara will be responsible for replacing the injured Jason Pierre-Paul, who had surgery to replace a hernia. Helping Okwara rush the QB will be Olivier Vernon who has 8 sacks on the year.
A victory for the Giants would keep them in control of their destiny for a wild card spot, while a victory for the Cowboys would would improve their win streak to 12 games, while avenging their only loss of the season. Weather is expected to be below freezing before kickoff, which could see both teams trying to run the ball frequently throughout the night.
Prediction: 28-24, Dallas.
