Blackhawks Defeat Penguins 5-1

NHL: Chicago Blackhawks at Pittsburgh Penguins

What a great performance by the Chicago Blackhawks, who defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins 5-1.

After losing back-to-back games versus Florida and Tampa, the Blackhawks really needed this win to get their 'mojo' back. Chicago erupted for four first period goals, to shock the Pittsburgh crowd. First period goals came from Panarin, Panik, Kruger, Hossa.

After a scoreless second period, Chicago continued the scoring in the third period with a goal from Kero. Pittsburgh was able to finally get on the board 5 minutes into the third period, with a goal from Rust.

This win was very important for the Blackhawks after their back-to-back losses and to regain their confidence heading into the final five games. To win against one of the top teams in the NHL, and the defending champions will surely give them momentum into the playoffs.
