Time for a history lesson, basketball fans. So back in 2000, there was this guy named Stromile Swift who was drafted with the second overall pick by the Vancouver Grizzlies. Some of you probably have never heard of him, as he was never an All-Star and was never a full-time starter. But for the ones who do, you guys probably remember him from the 2001 Slam Dunk Competition, or from one of the flashy dunks he pulled off during a game.

Well, today is his 37th birthday. So let’s celebrate it by watching a mixtape of his top dunks (Via NBA):

Swift played in the NBA for nine seasons and played for four teams (Grizzlies, Houston Rockets, New Jersey Nets, and Phoenix Suns). He left the league in 2009 and played in China with the Shandong Lions for one season. His NBA career averages are: 8.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks.

Do you remember who Stromile Swift is? And which dunk from the video was your favorite? Let me know in the comments.
