Pens Continue to Tear It Up

Last Thursday night, the Kings ended the Pens' four game winning streak in overtime. Crosby equalized in the 3rd period, but Nick Dowd scored the game winner for LA in overtime to send the fans home happy. The Pens then traveled to San Jose to continue their west coast trip and destroyed the Sharks 5-0. Sidney Crosby tallied two more goals to continue his unbelievable run of fantastic play and Murray picked up the shutout. In a blockbuster matchup of Connor McDavid and Sidney Crosby, the Pens prevailed as they returned to PPG Arena. Crosby did not record a point, but the Penguins rallied back from a 3-1 deficit. McDavid had three helpers, but it wasn't enough as Hagelin, Malkin, and Sheary scored three unanswered goals to win 4-3. The Pens are 9-2-2 and host the Wild tonight at home.
