Steelers Recap

The Pittsburgh Steelers are on a tear as of late, mostly thanks to the play of the improved defense and Le'Veon Bell. The secondary seems to have been the most improved with young guns Sean Davis and Artie Burns really stepping up. Ryan Shazier continues to be the most consistent leader on that side of the ball, however. They have four straight wins and sit at 8-5 which is good enough for the AFC North lead, for now. I truly believe the Christmas Day matchup against the Baltimore Ravens will decide the division mostly because the Ravens hold the tiebreak currently. It is an absolute wide open wild card in the AFC with the Broncos, Steelers, and Dolphins at 8-5 while the Ravens and surging Tennessee Titans are at 7-6. With all those teams in the mix, the Steelers do not want to leave their chances up to the wild card to decide their playoff fate. If Pittsburgh continues to play like they have lately, there shouldn't be any problems making the playoffs. They go to Cincy on Sunday to face a hungry Bengal team looking to spoil the party. A Ravens' loss to Philly would be welcomed as well. Go Steelers.
