Twas the blog before Christmas
But in the sports world
Not a ball to be bounced
Nor a rock to be curled
I considered my options
And things I could flog
What would make Santa
A good Christmas blog
I thought of the Raptors
And their gritty style
Lowry an Al-Star
Would make the North Smile
I thought of my Celtics
The way their season might be tanking
Made me wish for Pearce and Bird
And their jump shots a banking
The Leafs were in the hunt
But the Habs were still higher
But this year the Lions
Were really on fire
I am excited Christmas games
of Thompson and Curry
But the Bulls get the Lakers
So they have nothing to worry
I looked through my new posts
With thoughts of mes Chevaliers
Champions of OFSAA
They might be someday
We have to be proud
Of the Canadian women
Where winning lots of stuff
Is how they earn their living
I thought of the athletes
Who just play for the love
Whether they are bouncing a ball
Or making a save with a glove
I thank you for encouraging
As your words do inspire
Even if your points against
Make me seem like a liar
I am blessed with a family
And friends like no other
Even if I have
More talented brothers
I have a beautiful wife
And two fantastic dogs
And I even will brag
I do love my job

I love basketball
I still say Bill Russell
Was the greatest of all
I enjoy sharing my thoughts
And opinions with you
So Merry Christmas to all
