Eddie Lacy to join Seattle on 1-year deal

The Seattle Seahawks appear quite serious about bolstering their running game. They recently met with Adrian Peterson, but the aging superstar left town without a contract. However, Seattle has signed former Packer Eddie Lacy to a 1-year deal worth $5.55 million. Lacy rushed for over 1,000 yards in his first two seasons, and after a sluggish 2015, was enjoying a bounce back 2016 (5.1 yards per rush). A left ankle injury in Week 6 ended his season. The former Alabama product joins fellow bruiser Thomas Rawls and scat-back C.J. Prosise. Seattle is also expected to still hold a meeting with free agent Jamaal Charles tomorrow. Lacy isn't quite Beast Mode, but he and Rawls should form a potent, powerful combo that should give defenses headaches and bruises. Add in Russell Wilson's speed on the read-option and this could be the most dangerous ground attack in pro football.
