Hendricks Takes The Mound For The Last Time During Regular Season

Today, Sunday, October 2nd 2016, will be the final time that Kyle Hendricks will take his MLB leading 1.99 ERA onto the mound against the Cincinnati Reds.  He will be opposed by Cincinnati's Robert Stephenson who has a 6.27 ERA on the season.  This is the final game of the regular season for the Cubs and the rest of Major League Baseball. Although this game does not have much meaning  to the Cubs, it is a chance for Hendricks to cement his name into the Cy Young picture.  The Cubs also are going for their 103rd win of the season after already becoming the first team since 2011 (Phillies) to win 102 games in a single season.  Winning a 103rd game would be a first since the 2009 Yankees. I am looking forward to the Cubs finishing the season on a high note.
