Canada Advances To The WCOH Finals

Optional...

It was probably the hardest victory that Team Canada had to play for throughout the World Cup Of Hockey (WCOH) tournament, but the team got it.

Canada went ahead 1-0 in the first period with an amazing goal by Sidney Crosby.

After that, Canada had trouble getting the puck through Russian goalie, Sergei Bobrovsky.

In fact, the Russians went ahead 2-1 in the second period.  I switched the t.v. channel, thinking Canada was finished.  Canada wasn't.

I switched back to the game and was delighted to see that Canada tied it up at 2-2.

Canada's head coach, Mike Babcock probably said something to his squad in the dressing room after the second period because the team took over the game in the third (period).

Canada quickly went ahead 3-2 in the final period.   From there, the Canadians continued to score.

At the end of it all, Canada won 5-3 and advanced to the WCOH Finals.

Crosby had three points during the game.

Bobrovsky stopped 42 shots and Carey Price of Canada stopped 31 shots.
