Special Game From Malik Monk

In a win over North Carolina freshman shooting guard Malik Monk for the Kentucky Wildcats was in a zone. In a classic game against the Tar Heels he was the best player on the court. Monk finished with a career-high 47 points. He was 18/28 (64%) from the field and 8/12 (66%) from the three-point line. It's the most points ever by a Kentucky freshman passing Terrence Jones and Jamal Murray when they scored 35 points. Monk's 47 points is the 6th-most on UK's scoring list. It's also the most points since Jodie Meeks scored 54 points back in 2009 for Kentucky.
