A letter to Donnie Jones

Hi Donnie,
It's me, the man that has been calling for your ouster since you got the team put on probation. Donnie, I just wanted to send you this letter. I can't message you over Twitter because you blocked me as you do many critics of yours. Wait I am sorry, that was mean spirited. Let me try this again. Donnie, I have been thinking that I have been way too harsh on you. From openly criticizing your offense and defense schemes to reporting that you would be fired after the AAC Tournament. After all you managed to keep the status quo this season by finishing 8th in the AAC. It's an improvement from the typical 9th place finishes you have had in your tenure as head coach. Wait that was mean again, I apologize. You did sweep the mighty basketball powerhouses of ECU, USF, and Tulane for the first time in your tenure as head coach. So that's the improvement you have been talking about.

Donnie, I want you to know that it's not your fault. It's not your fault that you have a 34-61 conference record. Or that the AAC record is 15-39, there are legendary coaches in the league that have accomplished much more than you ever had. It's understandable as to why you seem to get outcoached every game by them. It's not your fault that this season the basketball team lost 10 games by double digits. Your AAC style isolation ball had worked so well in previous seasons at UCF, so I understand why you never adapted your gameplan. It's not your fault that you have never been to the NCAA tournament in your career as a head coach. You see Donnie, none of this is your fault because you shouldn't have been hired in the first place.

You see the blame falls on former Athletic Director Keith Tribble for hiring you in the first place. It was Tribble and his UF ties that caused you to get hired after you had 1 good season as Marshall. But as we have seen one season does not a good coach make. You are the epitome of this. So it's not all your fault that the atmosphere surrounding basketball is dead. Tribble deserves the blame.

So Donnie, we all know that unless you miraculously win the AAC Tournament, you will be fired. But let us be frank, that isn't going to happen. So Keith Tribble's mistake is going to be fixed by Danny White. Or as my friends in Europe say:
