NFL Playoff Picture: How can the Giants clinch the playoffs

December is the most intense month of the NFL season. And of course the Giants are one of the teams in the playoff race, as of now. The good thing about the Giants is that they able finished off with a win on the last two games, which are really the most important games of the season. Thanks to the guidance of Ben McAdoo and Steve Spagnuolo’s much improved defense, even without Jason Pierre-Paul, they manage to take down the then-11-1 Cowboys and the then-9-4 Lions.

Now, the Giants are second in the NFC East with a 10-4 record, and they now on the top of the NFC Wild Card. They had a chance the clinch the playoff spot last Sunday, with a win over the Lions, and a Packers and Vikings and Redskins loss. However, they can clinch the playoff spot immediately with a win over the Eagles this Thursday night.

According to Art Stapleton, of The Record, there are some other ways if the Giants don't win this Thursday night:

The Giants are now looking to clinch the playoffs for the first time since 2011, which they won the Super Bowl that year. According to the New York Times simulator, the Giants have 81% chance to take the top wild card spot of the NFC. According to James Kratch of NJ.com, the Giants are a major step closer to the playoffs, and have 97% chance of making the playoffs. Maybe the Giants could be of the biggest Super Bowl contenders this year. But first, they have to focus on making the playoffs first, before they can think about the Super Bowl.
