For the second time in five days, the Chicago Blackhawks and the New York Rangers would be playing each other. Antti Raanta made his fourth consecutive start for the Rangers, and he had 24 saves. Despite the strong performance, the Rangers faltered to the Chicago Blackhawks 2 to 1.

Trevor van Riemsdyk scored the first goal of the game for Chicago in the second-period. Later in the period, Jesper Fast tied the game at 1 for the Rangers. With under 2 minutes remaining in the second-period, Artem Anisimov scored the game winning goal for the Blackhawks.

Blackhawks goalie, Scott Darling was strong once again in net with 33 saves in the absence of Corey Crawford.
