The Chicago Blackhawks were one of the favorites to win it all when the postseason began. In just a matter of a week, their dreams to win there fourth championship in seven seasons were dashed.

The Nashville Predators swept the Chicago Blackhawks in fashion. In games 1 and 2, Pekka Rinne had back-to-back shutouts. In game 3, the Predators won in overtime. In game 4, they won 4 to 1.

The Predators were the second wild card team in the west. I expected Nashville to give Chicago a series, because I have questioned the Blackhawks depth the entire season, but Nashville exposed the weakness of Chicago's depth.

Nashville is a very talented team. Pekka Rinne had a .976 save percentage and a 0.70 GAA in round 1. That's like video game numbers. If Rinne keeps this up, Nashville could very well represent the west in the finals.

They will play either the St. Louis Blues or the Minnesota Wild in round 2. This is one of the more shocking upsets in NHL playoff history.
