MLB Daily Fantasy Picks

Today we have a packed slate of baseball. The early slate on fanduel consists of four games, while the main one has a nice eleven game contest. I have laid out key players who I think will be essential picks for a winning lineup.

ESSENTIALS- 4/24/18

I love to look into Pitcher vs batter statistics, birthdays, revenge games, or even if a player is back in their hometown. Anything that can give you a leg up in daily fantasy can be beneficial and help to differentiate your lineups.

Early Slate

Wellington Castillo-(C) 2.3k Fanduel -Today just so happens to be Wellington Castillo birthday. I know this isn't a sure thing so make a player try harder, but its definitely something i like to look at for added motivation. Castillo is also crushing lefties to the tune of 0.393 wOBA, and is batting 4th in a lineup that is projected to score 4.5 runs. Coming in at a dirt cheap 2.3k on fanduel is just an added bonus.

Main Slate

*I will be updating on my twitter when i find out more about delays in start times, or any postponements.*

Corey Dickerson- (OF) 3.6k Fanduel - Jordan Zimmerman is a gas can, plain and simple. He has a 7.71 era and is always someone i want to target when he is on the mound. The weather might postpone or delay this game so watch out for that. If the game does play, Dickerson will be an elite play. Corey is 7 for 13 lifetime against zimmerman, with a HR.

Chad Pinder- (OF) 2.1k Fanduel - Pinder is a platoon guy who doesn't play all the time, so make sure he is in the lineup before starting him. That being said, his career stats against Cole Hamels are insane. He is 6 for 6 with 3 HRs. Pinder has hit lefties well this season at a wOBA of 0.349. Coming in at a dirt cheap price tag will give you upside and salary to spend up elsewhere.

Paul DeJong- (SS) 4.3k Fanduel - The hefty salary is almost sure to drive his ownership down, but DeJong has great career stats abasing Wheeler. He has gone 3 for 5 with two HRs. Coming into today, the young shortstop has been on fire with back to back games with home runs, and five hits in his last three games. Look for his success to continue tonight.

Stacks

*Below are my favorite stacks to pick based on the opposing pitcher*

Los Angeles Dodgers- Vegas- 4.7 Runs

San Diego Padres- Vegas- 4.8 Runs

Oakland A's- Vegas- 5.1 Runs

Pitchers

Robbie Ray- 9.3k Ray is always a great source of strikeouts. He has had two very nice performances, but also two poor ones to start the year which could help to lower his ownership on the main slate. I love his GPP upside against a poor Phillies lineup slated for only 3.8 runs.

Kenta Maeda- 9.1k Kenta has really upped his strikeout rate this season. He has now struck out 10 batters in 2 of his 4 starts this season. K's are really where you need to look for value in DFS, and Maeda can provide you just that. His price has risen, but i do believe he will be a popular pick tonight against a weak Marlins team.

As always good luck tonight!
