Russell Westbrook, LeBron James Win Player of Week Honors

       A week into the 2016-17 campaign, and two of the projected front runners of the MVP Award have taken home the Player of the Week Honors for the first week. 

         James was pivotal in helping the Cavaliers to a 3-0 record, nearly averaging a triple double with 21 points, 10 assists and 8.3 rebounds as Cleveland blew out the Knicks before taking a nail biter against the Raptors on the road. He had a 19/11/14 triple double against the Knicks, 21/8/7 against Toronto and went for 23/6/9 against Orlando. 

         Westbrook notched a 51 point triple double performance is averaging 38.7 points, 11.7 assists and 12.3 rebounds through three games, while Oklahoma City sits at a pretty 3-0. Westbrook went for 32/12/9 against Philadelphia, 51/13/10 against Phoenix and 33/16/12 against the Lakers. Anthony Davis and Kawhi Leonard weren't far off from the Player of the Week honors.
