Mets get blanked by Nats in home opener

The Mets offense was quieted by Strasburg easily today, who went 6.2 innings without allowing a run, and the Nats bullpen bent but didn't break today. Syndergaard actually took a no-hitter into the 6th inning, despite allowing a run in the 2nd, giving up a solo HR in the 6th to Victor Robles. Thor finished the day at 2 runs over 6 innings, but just one hit. He still takes the loss as the Mets offense did next to nothing tonight. They look to recharge on their off day tomorrow and bounce back on Saturday against Corbin.
