Mets-Nats Series Preview (A game late)
First series of the year! The Mets and Nationals opened their season with a 3 game set over 4 days. The NL Cy Young winner Jacob deGrom went for New York and the NL Cy Young runner-up Max Scherzer went for the Nationals. deGrom bested Scherzer yet again, going 6 scoreless with 10K as Scherzer went 7.2 IP, but allowed 2 runs, the games only 2 runs, as New York took the opener 2-0. Saturday's matchup should be the A1's of each rotation, Syndergaard vs Strausburg, another expected pitcher's duel. Sunday will see Zack Wheeler against the National's offseason pickup, Patrick Corbin. It's always exciting between these teams, and the first series of 2019 is already shaping up to be just that.
