The Hendrick-Harvick Myth - "Just A Bunch Of People Who Make S*** Up"
Story by Tom Jensen, Fox Sports
Ever since it was announced it was announced in February that Stewart-Haas Racing would switch to Ford next year, rumors immediately began that Kevin Harvick would jump ship and join Hendrick Motorsports for 2017.
Harvick, who is in the final year of his contract with SHR, denied the rumor he would move in February, saying, "I don't see any reason why that would change. For me, this is the best position I've been in with my team."
Hard to argue with that logic.
Harvick won the 2014 Sprint Cup championship, finished second in points last year and leads the current standings. He's in the prime of his career with a top team led by crew chief Rodney Childers, who's one of the sharpest minds in the garage. And Harvick and team co-owner Tony Stewart are besties.
Still, the rumors persist.
So Tuesday morning, Harvick took to Twitter to hush the latest rumors that he's bound for Hendrick.
