October 19 Trade Rumors Bits: Sacramento-Miami and Aldridge

Soobum Im-USA TODAY Sports

We have two hot trade rumors that we will tackle today.

Moving On: the Kings and the Heat explores a trade of Rudy Gay and Darren Collison for Goran Dragic. Basketball Insiders' Michael Scotto insisted though that no deal is imminent for now.

- I think, the Heat is on the driving seat here. Getting a Goran Dragic for one year of Rudy Gay and for a back-up PG is a plus-plus deal for the Kings. I suspect that the Heat wants to see how their roster will fair this season first before making any roster move.

I think, getting a Rudy Gay and Darren Collison will be just a mirage of their real plan which is to have a quick tank to find a partner to Hassan Whiteside. Nevertheless, a five of Collison-Richardson-Winslow-Gay-Whiteside looks pretty fan. That line-up is very malleable and can face any kind of five.

Did not work: San Antonio may not finish the year with the San Antonio Spurs if the Spurs underachieve this season,
that is according to CSN  New England, Jackie MacMullan.

- Lamarcus Aldridge fans should not be worried about this, at all. It is normal for a franchise to talk about possibilities if their team fails to meet expectations in a season. Out of all their players, LaMarcus Aldridge is their best bet of getting enough return that can turn the franchise around if they will under-perform.

If Lamarcus will be put into the trade block, what kind of return will the San Antonio ask for? I think, they will search for a package of a 1st round pick and a starting caliber player. With that, they can continue to play well but they will also maximize their scouting capability which is the best in the league.
