Under-appreciated Early Season Runs: The 33+ Years Old Veterans

Steven Branscombe-USA TODAY Sports

Not all current performances are appreciated equally. Here are the three old veterans that are doing very well but they are not getting enough attention.

ATL - KYLE KORVER
Kyle is trying to bounce back from his 2016 NBA season and he started in the right foot. He is making 47.6% of his three-point shots and scoring 10 points er game. If he can keep it up, Atlanta could be on another deep playoff run..

DEN - JAMEER NELSON

One of the surviving role-playing PGs in the league is lighting it up in their first four games. He averaged 10.5 points, 50% FG, 50% 3FG, 2 3-pointers and 3.3 assists per game. He is producing more in 4 lesser minutes from last season. I don't think he can keep it up but that is not bad for a 34 years old player.

DET - BENO UDRIH
With the injury of Reggie Jackson, Detroit turn to the combo of Ish Smith and Beno Udrih in handling the minutes in the PG position. In 16.9 minutes of play, Beno is contributing 8.0 points, 1.6 rebounds, 3.6 assists. He also posted the third best net rating in the team. And defensively, he has posted the best defensive rating. The question now is, what will coach Stan do with his back-up PG minutes once Reggie returns?
