The 42nd season is starting in less than a week so what about some sureball interesting predictions for the Philippine Cup?
The Aces has been fighting the urge to make any transaction in the last few years to keep their chemistry intact. But father time is already creeping-in on Sonny Thoss and Dondon Hontiveros that I expect them to make at least a minor move to freshen up the roster.
ALA - They will make a a trade
MER - Baser Amer will contribute double-digit pointsFor a rookie point guard, having a year under the Alapag academy will surely accelerate your development. That happened to Amer and even though it sounds crazy, I am confident with this one.
SMB - They will reach the FinalsThe addition of a young and athletic center in Arnold Van Opstal will really make the life of the Kraken, much easier. Alex Cabagnot will continue to be better playing SG. And RR Garcia will be a huge boost to their elite bench.
We all saw what The Blur did in the Governors' cup and I expect him to sustain that for at least this conference. The offseason rest will really help his body recuperate and give us the best Philippine Cup of his career.
