2017 NHL Playoffs: Second Round Predictions

2017 NHL Playoffs: Division Finals/Second Round:

The first round of the 2017 Playoffs are in the books and it was an interesting first round. The Blackhawks got swept by the Predators, the Hawks were the top seed in the West with 109 points and were one of the favorites to win it all. They're my Cup pick. The team I had them face the Montreal Canadiens were also eliminated by the New York Rangers in six games. The Habs (Montreal Canadiens) were the number two seed in the East with 103 points. The Senators beat the Boston Bruins in six games. The Washington Capitals beat the Toronto Maple Leafs in six games. The Pittsburgh Penguins beat the Columbus Blue Jackets in five games. The St. Louis Blues beat the Minnesota Wild in five games. The Anaheim Ducks swept away the young Calgary Flames. The young Edmonton Oilers beat the defending Western Conference Champions the San Jose Sharks in Six games. The “MVP” of the for first round was Nashville’s Star Goalie, Pekka Rinne shutout the Hawks twice and only allowed three goals (.70 GAA) in the four game sweep.
