2017/18 NBA Pre-Season Power Rankings

It's time for another NBA season. The 2017/18 season, is here and it starts this Tuesday night with the Cleveland Cavaliers hosting the return of Kryie Irving and the Boston Celtics. That's right Kryie Irving is now a Boston Celtic after requesting a trade during the off-season. He got his wish and was traded to the Celtics for Isaiah Thomas and others including a 2018 first round draft pick via Brooklyn. Click here for details on the trade. The night cap is the defending NBA World Champions, the Golden State Warriors facing the new look Houston Rockets who traded for CP3 (Chris Paul from Los Angeles Clippers) in the off-season. Both games will be on TNT!

I will be doing this every week it will be basic on Sunday-Saturday games. It will be posted most likely every Monday or Tuesday. I will rank each team from 1-30 and then give my thoughts on the rankings at the end.

Thoughts on the Power Rankings:

The Golden State Warriors are clearly the number one team because for one they have the best roster and they're the defending champions. After that it's up for debate, I have the Houston Rockets coming in at number two simply because I think they have slightly better team then the Cleveland Cavaliers. The new look Boston Celtics and also new look OKC Thunder round out the top five. I got the San Antonio Spurs coming in at number six c mon it's the San Antonio Spurs they should be near the top five they're still a very good team. Rounding out the top ten are the Minnesota TimberWolves (7), the Washington Wizards (8), the Toronto Raptors (9), and the Milwaukee Bucks (10).

The middle ten, was sort of hard to put together as it contains teams that are on the raise and some that may fall or may not this season. The two Los Angeles teams the Clippers and Lakers were on the edge of the middle of the pack coming in at 20 and 21. The Phoenix Suns, Detroit Pistons, New York Knicks and Sacramento Kings all four could easily be in the bottom by the end of the season, they all just happen to have better rosters then the bottom five teams.

The bottom five teams were the Orlando Magic (26), the Indiana Pacers (27), Atlanta Hawks (28), Chicago Bulls (29), and the Brooklyn Nets come in last.

Thanks for Reading and enjoy opening week should be fun!
