Former Philadelphia Phillies Catcher, Darren Daulton Passes Away!

This past Sunday night the baseball world and the Phillies/Philly sports family lost a great man in Darren "Dutch" Daulton who lost his four year battle of Brain Cancer. He was the leader/captain of the 1993 Philadelphia Phillies that stole the hearts of Philadelphia. The '93 Phillies went from last place the previous season in 1992 to first place and an NL Championship Pennant. Even though they lost to the Toronto Blue Jays in the World Series in six games they still were beloved afterwards and still are today. Dutch was one of the most beloved sports figures in Philadelphia history and he will be surely missed that's for sure!

The Phillies return home for the first time since his death and will honor him during Alumni Weekend as they play the New York Mets in a four game set.

Thank You Darren Daulton for the Memories!
