Report: Jordan Hicks Suffers Injury on Honeymoon

Well, it looks as though this Friday is going to be a case of "you take the good, with the bad."

Shortly before the news broke that the Philadelphia Eagles had cut ties with underachieving receiver Dorial Green-Beckham, there was a report that knocked the wind out of the fan base.

Jimmy Kempski of PhillyVoice.com is reporting that inside linebacker Jordan Hicks injured his hand while getting out of the pool during his honeymoon in Greece.

Hicks, 25, has developed into a superstar for the Birds. The 2016-17 season was a breakout year for Hicks, as he recorded 85 total tackles, while adding a sack, 11 pass deflections, a fumble recovery, and five interceptions. Surely, any type of substantial damage to Hick's hand could be a devastating blow to the Eagles defense.

Luckily, the fans can breathe easy (for now..), as ESPN's Tim McManus sent out the following tweet a little while ago.

"Not believe to be major at the moment."

That's not full clearance, as Hicks is still on his honeymoon, which means that team doctors haven't been able to examine his hand. However, he did send a video of his hand to the medical staff.

Even if it is a worst-case scenario, Hicks still has a little more than two months until the season begins. For right now, it appears we can breath easy. Once Jordan's plane touches down back in Philly though, fans will once again be holding their breath in anticipation.
