It's the Big-10 vs the Pac-12 in the Rose Bowl.

Hi everybody. I am going to wrap up my Bowl-Mania week Preview Special with the Grand Daddy of them all the Rose Bowl. We are going back to the days of old. The Penn State NITTANY Lions, the champions out of the Big-10 this year will face the USC Trojans out of the PAC-12. So here's the question, who has the advantage in this classic matchup. In the next few minutes the question will be answered and you will also get my final score prediction. Now Let's get started.

The Penn State offense vs the USC Defense: The Penn State offense has been fun to watch this season. Trace MCSORLEY has been great at Quarterback passing for 3360 yards this season. The Hero of the Big-10 Championship game SAQUON Barkley has rushed for over 1300 yards himself. And Chris Goodwin has 795 Receiving yards this season at Wide Receiver. Penn State Ranks 29th in Offensive efficiency. But USC's Defense ranks 15th in Defensive Efficiency so they have a good defense and a good secondary. But Penn State has been a great 2nd half team this season. So with all of this in mind the edge goes to Penn State because of what they have done in the 2nd half against Ohio State and Wisconsin in the Big-10 Championship game.

USC offense vs Penn State's Defense: The USC offense has been pretty good themselves this season. Quarterback Sam DARONLD has thrown for 2633 yards this season. Ronald Jones II has rushed for 1027 yards this season and JUJU Smith Shuster has 781 yards receiving this season. USC's offensive Efficiency Ranks 14th. Penn States Defensive Efficiency ranks 31st this season they can make some Big stops if they need to. But the edge goes to USC because of what they can do on offense and they can really do some damage late in the game if needed.

Special Teams: Penn State's Placekicker Tyler Davis has been perfect on P.A.T. Attempts {55-of-55} and he is 22-of-24 on Field Goal Attempts. But his Longest is only 40 yards so I am a little concerned about that. But Let's look at USC'S placekicker Matt BOERMEESTER. He's 48-of-49 on P.A.T. attempts this season. He's 15-of-20 on Field Goal attempts with his longest being 49 yards. I know that BOERMEESTER can make the long field goal if needed. But it's the 15-of-20 part that worry's me. So with all of this in mind if you need a sure thing in the Field goal Department. The VERY SLIGHT edge goes to Penn State simply because Tyler Davis is almost automatic late in the game and I am concerned about Matt BOREMEESTER because he could come up short at the end.

Intangibles: Penn State has a good defense and so does USC. It's going to come down to two things. Number.1 The Turnover Battle whoever can force the Most turnovers will win the game. Number 2 game control. USC ranks 6th in Game control this season while Penn State Ranks 37th. So whoever controls the game more and who can force the most turnovers will win the Rose Bowl. Now Penn State is a fantastic 2nd half team don't get me wrong. But they need to play Solid in the entire game in my opinion. So with all of this in mind the Edge goes to USC because their Defense can do a little More Damage if need be at the end of the game.

My Final Score prediction Penn State Wins A Nail Bitter 35-31.
