EAGLES CRUSHED BEARS TO GO 10-1

PHILADELPHIA, PA.- Lead by second year MVP candidate QB Carson Wentz is on a roll winners of Eight straight at 9-1 are one of the most exciting teams to see this season. With a all-around balance attack the Eagles look to continue to stay atop the entire NFC above the Vikes and Saints who both won on Thanksgiving day.

Chicago who loss to Detroit last week in tough one at home 27-23. The Bears at 3-7 look to rebound lead by QB Matt Trubisky (R) will have a tough task on their hands as they travel to play Philadelphia at Lincoln Financial Field.

First Quarter - With great field position at the Bears 44 yard line, Philadelphia QB #11 Wentz get conversions on a 4th & 1 and 3rd & 8 to keep the drive alive deep into Chicago territory to punch it in as Wentz throws a 17 yard TD strike to TE #86 Ertz capping off a 8 play 44 yard drive to take a 7-0 lead with 6:04 remaining in quarter 1.

Eagle RB #29 Blount opens up with a great 35 yard run only to fumble (second of the quarter) it back to Chicago on their own 42 yard line with 4:07 remaining. But penalties killed Chicago's drive only to miss a 54 FG K #2 Santos, Eagles lead 7-0 to end quarter #1.

Second Quarter - Philadelphia came out white hot, as they continue to convert on 3rd down as QB Wentz pass on a 3rd & 5 to the former Bear WR #17 Jeffery and a 3rd & 9 as Wentz ran for 16 yards as Philadelphia scores on a 15 yard TD from Wentz (his second of the half) to WR #13 Agholor to give the Eagles a 14-0 lead with 10:59 remaining for the half.

With Philadelphia once again in great field position at the Bears 45 yard line kept Chicago's defense guessing, mixing the run and pass plays up was able to get near the red zone but the Bears defense stayed the course Eagles settle for a 45 yard FG by K #4 Elliott giving them a 17 point lead, 17-0 with 6:52 remaining.

After a holding penalty against Philadelphia that made it 1st & 22, Wentz went back to Blount who pounds it out for 24 yards on the rush giving the Eagles a 1st down at their 43 yard line. Wentz again convert on a 3rd & 10 to Agholor for the 1st down at the 49 yard line but was short. Eagles head coach Peterson challenges the call but ruling was upheld, and on a 4th & 1 Blount moves the pile to get the 1st down Philadelphia's second 4th down conversion of the half. Eagles continue to run the football down the Bears throats in the closing moments of the first half, but a holding penalty against Bears CB #20 Amukamara gives the Eagles new life at the 21 yard line of Chicago. On a 3rd &1 Wentz does it again keeping the football and getting the first & goal down to the 8 yard line. Philadelphia gets a score as Wentz connected to Jeffery on a TD 8 yards out with :05 remaining, Eagles end the half on a blowout, 24-0 at the half.

Halftime summary:

Philadelphia totally dominated the first half against Chicago great offense play calling was on point QB Wentz was in a zone staying poised in the pocket with key throws ( 3 TD passes), running when he need to, and utilizing his running game particularly Blount (8 rushes, 77 yards) to keep drives alive on 3rd & 4th downs giving them the big lead.

Chicago are a baffled and confused team. They just simply don't have and answer for Philadelphia's scoring attack. With no 1st downs and 0-5 on 3rd down, looks to turn it around in the second half.

Third Quarter - Chicago starts off the the third looking refreshed, mixing up plays and with the help of penalties against the Eagles defense was able to get the ball down the field converting their first 1st down play and a big 3rd & 14 to get them to the Eagles 22 yard line to finally get on the board on a 38 yard FG by Santos, 24-3 Eagles with 8:40 remaining in quarter 3.

Fourth Quarter - Eagles once again continue to move the football when the Bears defense forces RB #36 Ajayi 30 yard run to be stripped into in zone to be recovered by Agholor for the touchdown Eagles lead 31-3 with 13:37 remaining.

Chicago lead by QB Trubisky put together a really nice drive to be picked off by #24 Graham down to Bears 19 and that's your ballgame 31-3 Eagles win.

Post game Summary :

Eagles now improve their record to 10-1 a dominant performance by QB Carson Wentz: 23/36 227 yds 3 TD as roll to stay on top of the NFC. Philadelphia had a things clicking on both sides of the football. RB Blount lead the way with the running game: 15 rushes 97 yds and the receivers was game from the start: Zach Ertz 10 rec 103 yds TD which was keys to their win.

Bears was beaten badly they couldn't get things going to start the game and found themselves behind. QB Trubisky: 14/29 121 yds 2 int was taken out of he element as Philadelphia's defense smothered him and everything the Bears had going including 3rd down plays. Trubisky was the leading rusher with 4 rushes 7 yds and his receivers was shut down, Inman lead the way for Chicago with 3 received 45 yds which was keys to their loss.
