Where did Titans players end up on the NFL Top 100 list?

There is some serious shade being thrown at the NFL's official 'Top 100' list that was released this week. There were big question marks throughout the list and some noticeable absentees.

The Titans had just two players on the current roster make the list and one former player.

Here is a closer look at.

1. The omissions of Kevin Byard and AJ Brown

My biggest gripes with the Top 100 are the absence of safety Kevin Byard and Brown who was within shouting distance of winning the Rookie of the Year.

Byard has been one of the best safeties in the league over the last three seasons and has totaled 17 interceptions in his career without missing a single game. He is consistent against the pass and is quick to jump in to stop the run as well.

He was listed along with nine others as an 'honorable mention' and #103.

Brown was not an honorable mention or even considered for a spot in the top 100. He was ranked as the best rookie wideout in 2019 and amassed over 1,000 yards receiving despite having a limited role the first half of the season when Marcus Mariota was the starting QB.

2. Logan Ryan makes the list, but no team has signed him?

Tennessee elected to not give in and pay Logan Ryan his desired $10 million a year for another two seasons.

While Logan was very good during 2018 and 2019, the decision to not resign him was a good one and has left plenty of cap room for Jadeveon Clowney. Ryan comes in as the 60th player in the league according to the rankings, but I would not say that is totally accurate.

It is telling that not a single team in the NFL has tried to sign him in the two plus months since he was released. While physical testing and travel for players are both limited, the rumor that Logan Ryan was going to sign with the New York Jets faded quickly and there have been no rumors or mumbles about where he will be in the fall.

3. Tannehill and Henry deserve this praise

Ryan Tannehill has made the Top 100 for the first time in his lengthy professional career coming in at 68th and Derrick Henry made the HUGE jump from 99th heading in to 2019 all the way up to tenth this year.

Christian McCaffery was the only running back to beat out the former Heisman winner and King Henry is primed for another huge season after getting a huge extension just a few weeks ago.

It's ironic that the two offensive standouts for Tennessee both signed extensions this summer. General manager Jon Robinson has played his hand and the Titans are going all in as they have seen their window open up.

Conclusion

Like many NFL fans, I do not agree with a lot of this list and it's not just where Titans players fell.

How are Aaron Donald, Russell Wilson, and Lamar Jackson better than Patrick Mahomes? They aren't!
