The rematch between the Alabama Crimson tide was billed as round 2 but just as the first match-up it was blow for bow until the final round, but this time the Clemson Tigers were the team with the counter punch to take down Goliath as they pulled out the 35-31 victory Monday night in Tampa.

It was a nip and tuck game from beginning to end and Alabama's first hit on Deshaun Watson set the tempo for the game. Reuben Foster hit the tigers QB in the head area and could have easily been tossed from the game for targeting, but instead of throwing cheap shots the Clemson receivers tortured the Alabama Linebackers all night over the middle and underneath. Clemson's All-American WR Mike Williams and his buddies put on a clinic against a Bama secondary that was viewed as "elite" throughout the college football season until they ran into Deshaun Watson, who figured out their kryptonite and that was the back shoulder fade pass. Nick Saban wasn't too happy with the refs and let them know about it, but the refs let them play on anyway.

Alabama's wind was knocked out of their sale when RB Bo Scarborough (16 carries 93 yards 1 td) was knocked out the game with a leg injury. It would prove to be the turning point as Clemson would capitalize and dial up more blitzes on freshman QB Jalen Hurts. The freshman hung in there tough but the Clemson defense shut down Bama's passing game, which forced the youngster to try and run the ball to no avail as he was held to just 63 yards on the ground.

The momentum swung back and forth in the final quarter until Deshaun put the team on his back one final time in a Clemson uniform, with precise and timely passing down the field with under two minutes left and then with six seconds on the clock this happened........

It will definitely be an instant classic on ESPN but it will also be that to all the fans around the world as they saw one of the greatest contests of all-time between to of best schools in 2016.
