Ezekiel Elliott facing suspension?

CBS sports NFL insider Jason La Canfora is reporting that Cowboys rookie RB could be facing a lengthy suspension from league, as he is under investigation for domestic violence incidents that took place last summer.

A claim was filed citing domestic violence on at least 5 instances, but Columbus authorities did not press any charges against Ezekiel at the time.

Elliott had charges dropped against him earlier this year after his former girlfriend accused him of domestic violence

Elliott has been interviewed by NFL investigators about these allegations of domestic abuse (reported by USA Today), but no charges have been filed as of yet by the league. If charged Elliott could face a 6-game suspension for his first offense. This is an ongoing investigation in which the league cannot comment and their is no timeline.

The Dallas rookie leads the NFL in rushing (703 rushing yards) as he heads into a Week 8 match up with division rival Philadelphia. Elliott may also be one of the early favorites to win offensive rookie of the year.
