Steelers Win in Buffalo to Propel Them to the 3rd Seed in the AFC.... For Now

The Steelers picked up their 4th win in a row Sunday in Buffalo behind a huge performance from star running back LeVeon Bell.  The win mean't more than just keeping their winning streak alive, it mean't keeping their playoff aspirations alive.  With the Ravens playing tonight in New England, the Steelers currently hold onto the 3rd seed in the AFC.  For Steelers fans and players, tonight may be one of the only times you will ever want to root for the Patriots.  With a New England victory over Baltimore, the Steelers will hold onto the 3 seed at least for this week.  The 3 remaining games for the Steelers (@Cincy, BAL, CLE) are all huge games with the season in the balance. The Steelers should have no problem with CLE but the Ravens will be another story.  If they can take care of BAL on Christmas, they should be pretty much guaranteed a division title assuming a Baltimore loss tonight.

LeVeon Bell put up historic numbers in Sunday's win at Buffalo.  With the snow falling, Bell totaled 236 yards rushing and 62 yards receiving and 3 TDs.  Bell was the teams catalyst Sunday while Ben Roethlisberger struggled with 3 INTS and no TD's.   If Bell can cotninue the streak he's on while getting Ben back on track, the Steelers offense will be unstoppable down the stretch run and into the playoffs.

Over the Steelers 4 game win streak, the defense has been a positive compared to where they were earlier in the season.  If the balance between the offense and defense continues at this rate, the team won't rely as much on the offense to carry them through a playoff run. The defensive unit does not need to be Chief like, but they need to continue pressuring QBs and slowing down the run to give their team a chance to win each week.
