A stiff test awaited for San Diego State in Northern Illinois, and the Huskies did literally everything they could to stop the Aztecs. A linebacker, who for obvious reasons will not be named, decided to poke Aztecs star running back Rashaad Penny in the eyes while under a pile. That kind of ridiculous action didn't end up helping them enough, as they fell to Penny and the Aztecs, 34-28.

UCF dominated the Group of 5 Game of the Week from the opening whistle, and it was never close. Memphis couldn't solve the Knights offensively or defensively, and UCF's defense was the surprise. Holding the Tigers to just 13 points was impressive considering the offensive firepower that the Tigers possess. If fans want the Scott-Frost-to-Nebraska rumors to die down, this isn't the way to do it. But, fans do like winning so this is the price they will have to pay.

USF's offense has been troubled with slow starts all season, and they might have found a way to break out against East Carolina. The rushing offense continues to carry the team, and no one seems to have an answer for the Bulls. Is this the breakout that this team needed? USF has been struggling through the first month, but remained undefeated. Their light schedule has allowed them to work out their issues so far, and now they might be ready for the tough part. Scary thought.

Troy pulled off the upset of the year, stunning LSU in Death Valley. The Trojans even had a 17-0 lead late in the game, and held off a furious LSU comeback to tie the game. With the Sun Belt Conference struggling so far this season, this upset was the shocker of the season and will be hard to beat. Running back Jordan Chunn had his way with the Tigers defense, rushing for 191 yards and a touchdown.

Toledo was off this week and hosts Eastern Michigan this week. Navy has begun the college football season undefeated, but hasn't played an opponent that makes them a contender quite yet. Quarterback Zach Abey has been given plenty of time to settle in, and has looked solid thus far this season. The Midshipmen host Air Force before facing Memphis and UCF, so we will see how good this team actually is.
