UCF dominated their matchup with UConn, and move one step closer to a New Year's bowl game. What ranking will they receive from the committee this week? That answer will determine a lot about their chances to be seriously considered in the College Football Playoff. It's a long stretch, but the committee's answer tomorrow will tell us how they feel about Group of 5 teams.

Memphis was off this week, and will take on an SMU team that can score as much as they can. The Mustangs are coming off of a 43-40 loss to Navy, so you can bet they'll come back more focused this week. One more win from Memphis will clinch the division.

Boise State is back folks! After trailing 35-17 at halftime, the Broncos roared back in the second half and overtime to beat Colorado State. Brett Rypien's return to the offense has been a big factor in their success.

USF was off this week, and needs to just get past Tulsa before they take on their monstrous matchup against UCF. That game is going to be one you want to watch for so many reasons. Will the Bulls be ranked in this week's poll? They made it in the AP Poll, but that poll basically doesn't mean anything anymore.

Ohio pulled off a (somewhat) stunning win over Toledo. Limiting Toledo to just 10 points was phenomenal, and scoring 38 made this win surprising. The Bobcats continue to thrive under Frank Solich, and just took over as the top team in the conference (though Toledo and Northern Illinois are right behind them).

FAU didn't lose, so don't freak out too much. The team replacing them is just too hard to ignore. UAB might as well have been left for dead this season. No one, and I repeat, no one gave them a chance of winning this year. That adversity, along with having to revive a football program, could have made it easy to just give up. But this team has done anything but that, and are at the top of Conference USA. There are plenty of storylines to follow this season in college football, but this has to be near the top.
