The Montreal Canadiens lost their season opener on Thursday.

The Habs lost 4-3 in a shootout against the Carolina Hurricanes.

Toronto Maple Leaf's Auston Matthews still has the scoring touch.

He, (Matthews), scored his third goal of the season in a 4-1 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets last night.

Mitch Marner scored two goals for Toronto last night and added an assist.

Marner's teammate, Morgan Rielly, had three assists last night.

Michael Hudson is in goal for Toronto tonight.
