Las Vegas names NHL team The Vegas Golden Knights
Well after months of anticipation the Las Vegas franchise finally unveiled their team name and logo. It was widely known that the name was likely going to have ‘knights’ in the name as a shoutout to owner, Bill Foley’s, alma mater. The Vegas Golden Knights has a nice ring to it and is a good fit for the city of Las Vegas.
As for the logo, it’s absolutely exceptional. It features a Knight’s helmet with the letter ‘V’ being formed in the negative space. Also in the upper left part of the mask is the letter ‘L’ for Las Vegas.
The colour scheme is gold and black
The Las Vegas franchise has had its doubters from the very start and the league knew that the name and logo was something they couldn’t afford to mess up.
I think it’s safe to say they nailed it.
