Pressured Moss

The Cardinals have improved their chances in a tough N.L Central race.

The Cardinals traded for Brandon Moss and that is a great move for their team. I do think the Dodgers pressured them to make a move. The Dodgers are loaded with pitching now and had the Cardinals done nothing they would struggle. I believe the N.L race should be very interesting to watch.

"In exchange for Moss, who was in his first season with the Indians, the Indians received minor league pitcher Rob Kaminsky, a first-round pick in 2013". (ESPN) (Associated Press).

The Indians are a great young team and Rob Kaminsky will be a important player in the future for them. I think sometimes fans struggle when good players get traded for prospects. However, Moss was not going to be the answer for the Indians World Series hope. I believe the MLB is a numbers game. I know teams that get hot usually win the Fall Classic.

I know that is why some people will be upset at the Indians making a rebuilding type move, and yet is was a great decision. When you are bad you can get prospects and you can reload your talent quickly. The thing with baseball is the middle ground is very dangerous.

You need talent and if your team is trapped in the borderline playoff race. The fans aren't always sure what to do. I believe that is why this was a great move for both sides. The Cardinals needed more offensive, and I am sure a new environment can help Brandon Moss succeed. The Indians will unload and if they can land some prospects, they might in the race next year.

The Indians are looking like they will be a solid team in the future, and this move was a step in the right direction.
