Week 15's Studs and Duds

Thursday:

We got the good Russell Wilson (229 yards and 3 TDs) in this one as they made sure the Rams stay at the bottom of the division. In a game full of great defensive players, Doug Baldwin and Tyler Lockett got on the board with their own TDs.

Takeaways: It’s been safe to say for a while that the Rams’ offense is untouchable. What a shame you used your first round pick on Todd Gurley. But, you probably should’ve known.

Sunday:

We saw surprise performances from Ryan Mathews and Ty Montgomery, each had 100+ yards and a pair of scores. LeSean McCoy got the same, but you expect that from a clear RB1. Drew Brees bounced back and got himself 388 yards and 4 TDs. Wow would that have been nice a week ago. AP didn’t do much, but what did you expect from a 3 man rotation. And Tom Brady fell behind too with only 188 yards.

Takeaways: The weather is getting colding and teams will not be airing it out much. So if you don’t have a stud RB, then you might be struggling in the playoffs.

Monday:

The Redskins dropped an egg and jeopardized their playoff hopes. The loss came by the hands of Cam Newton and his 300 yards and 2 TDs. Jonathan Stewart added his own 132 yards. It didn’t help Jordan Reed got tossed for punching either.

Takeaways: The Redskins’ offense is still very potent and should be relied on in your championship or semifinals. The Panthers’ offense really only has Newton and Stewart.
