The Colts got going right away. After a 3 and out by the Jets on their opening drive, the Colts took over at their own 49. Luck would find wide receiver T. Y. Hilton for 13 yards to get down to the Jets 25. An unnecessary roughness penalty against the Jets brought the Colts down to the 9 yard line. Then Luck found Allen in the endzone to give the Colts a 7-0 lead.

After another 3 and out by the Jets, the Colts took over at their own 31. On the first play of the drive, Luck found tight end Jack Doyle for 12 yards to the Colts 43. Luck would then find Hilton for 34 yards to get down to the Jets 21. On the next play, Luck would find Allen again for the 21 yard touchdown pass to give the Colts a 14-0 lead.

After both teams traded punts, the Jets had the ball deep on their own 3 yard line to start the second quarter. After a quick first down, quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick found wide receiver Quincy Enunwa for 10 yards to give the Jets more breathing room up to the 24 yard line. Then Fitzpatrick would find running back Matt Forte for 40 yards to the Colts 26. Add on to that play a roughing the passer penalty and the Jets were down to the Colts 13. However, the drive stalled and the Jets wound up settling for a Nick Folk 38-yard field goal to cut the lead to 14-3.

After a touchback, Luck threw to Hilton for 23 yards to the Colts 48. Running back Frank Gore then ran for 19 to the Jets 33. However, the drive stalled and Adam Vinatieri made a long 53-yard field goal to give the Colts a 17-3 lead.

After another 3 and out by the Jets, the Colts took over at their own 30. After a couple of first downs, Luck would find Hilton for 15 yards down to the Jets 25. Luck and Allen would hook up for a third time in the endzone for a 23 yard score to blow the game open for the Colts 24-3 with 1:18 to play in the half.

In the third quarter, the Colts would score on the opening possession of the second half. Luck would find wide receiver Donte Moncrief for a 3 yard touchdown pass to put the Colts up 31-3. The Colts would make it 34-3 in the third after a 36 yard field goal by Vinatieri.

On the next possession, Petty would throw an interception to safety Mike Adam who would run the ball back to the Jets 6. Running back Robert Turbin would start the fourth quarter with a 5 yard touchdown run to give the Colts a 41-3 lead. The Jets would get a touchdown when Petty found wide receiver Robby Anderson for a 40 yard touchdown pass play. However, that was the rest the Jets could muster up, and they would go down 41-10 in this one.

At the end of the game, Jets coach Todd Bowles said that he's starting Petty at quarterback for the rest of the season. The Jets will try to salvage some wins for the remaining of the season. They travel to San Francisco next week to take on a team that's worse than the Jets, the 1-11 49ers.
