Pick on someone your own size Blake

As we all know, violence is never the answer to anything. However, if you absolutely have to defend yourself there are some proper techniques to holding your fist the right way before throwing a punch. Without going into deep detail just remember these two basic techniques:

*Keep your thumb on the outside of your fist while tucked below your curled fingers. This way your thumb will be out of the way of impact.

*Punch with the knuckles, instead of the flats of your fingers.

From the looks of things, it doesn't appear that Los Angeles forward Blake Griffin followed these two basic steps during his altercation with a member of the team's equipment staff.

According to sources, Griffin and the equipment staffer got into a heated argument inside of a restaurant in Toronto during the team's trip. During the heated argument Griffin struck the equipment member, who then left the restaurant after being struck. Griffin then followed the member outside and struck him again.

Now, during a physical fight, preferably in a boxing ring there typically is a winner that takes home the championship belt. Unfortunately, in this particular incident there was no winner; only injuries. Griffin suffered a suspected fracture in his right hand, while the equipment member suffered some injuries to the face. Griffin was currently out with a quadriceps injury, but now is expected to miss up to a matter of weeks due to his injured hand.

Griffin hoped to return to the lineup during this road trip. However, due to some bad decision making he has now created a major setback for himself. The Clippers have gone 11-3 in his absence.

Clippers coach Doc Rivers said at practice Tuesday morning that the team would issue a statement on the situation before its game against the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday night.

There should be no regrets in life. For one to regret something that only means you failed to think before proceeding in that particular act. Think before you act.
