Week 12 AFC Power Rankings

1. Oakland Raiders 8-2 vs Carolina

Despite a controversial ending the Raiders improved to 8-2 and did it with their running backs stealing the show and leading the team in receiving yards. A tough matchup with the Panthers await.

2. New England Patriots 8-2 @ New York Jets

The Patriots allowed the 49ers to hang around last week but pulled away in the end and Tom Brady continues to play like the MVP. He owns the Jets and he looks to continue his dominance against them.

3. Denver Broncos 7-3 vs Kansas City

The Broncos come off a much needed bye as they prepare to take on the Chiefs. Still a lot of questions that need answers from the offense.

4. Kansas City Chiefs 7-3 @ Denver

After a disappointing loss to the Buccaneers last week Andy Reid and his team with have to move on and lick their wounds with a division game looming at Mile High.

5. Miami Dolphins 5-4 vs San Francisco

It hasn't been pretty all the time but it has been effective and with the AFC West looking to win both wild card spots every game is a must win the Dolphins.

6. Houston Texans 6-4 vs San Diego

The Texans looked like the better team in Mexico City and you could make the argument that if not for the bad calls vs DeAndre Hopkins and the bad spot on the 3rd down they would have won the game. 7-3 is a lot different than 6-4.

7. Indianapolis Colts 5-5 vs Pittsburgh

Just when they were headed in the right direction they lose Luck due to a concussion and now will fall with not knowing how long he will be out.

8. Sand Diego Chargers 4-6 @ Houston

The record doesn't show how good this team has played but they are in desperate need of a win. Good losses will not help with teams surging from behind.

9. Buffalo Bills 5-5 vs Jacksonville

Rex Ryan's team won a big game vs the Bengals and have a great opportunity this week to get closer to the wild card leaders.

10. Tennessee Titans 5-6 @ Chicago

Marcus Mariota is playing very well and the team is following him but they can't consistently win games yet. They are playing much better than their record.

11. Baltimore Ravens 5-5 vs Cincinnati

They lead the AFC North and with the injuries in Cincy and the inconsistency in Pittsburgh the Ravens should stay in the race for the division.

12. Pittsburgh Steelers 5-5 @ Indianapolis

The Steelers are right at the top of the list of most disappointing teams in the NFL but hopefully last week's game vs Cleveland and this weeks game against the Colts with Luck can get them back on track.

13. Cincinnati Bengals 3-6-1 @ Baltimore

The injury to AJ Green could linger for the rest of the season and he could even reinjure the hamstring once he comes back. They are still in the race for the division but it may be wise to shut Green down with the chance at winning the Superbowl pretty much over.

14. New York Jets 3-7 vs New England

All the drama all off-season over Fitzpatrick and then you get this, injuries may have played a roll but still this was a team with an outside shot at making the playoffs.

15. Jacksonville Jaguars 2-8 @ Buffalo

This team was my dark horse to win the AFC South so to say I'm disappointed is an understatement.

16. Cleveland Browns 0-11 vs New York Giants

Well they wanted to see what they had in Kessler and in typical Browns fashion he gets hurt.
