Despite all of my begging and pleading with Chicago last week, they couldn't pull off the upset against Green Bay. The injury to Ty Montgomery is somewhat concerning to me as the next two backs on Green Bay's roster are both rookies. The Bills continue to trend upward (in the NFL and in my power rankings) with a defense that has been stout in every game they have played. Jacksonville continues it's up and down season by losing to the lowly Jets who have been playing slightly better football recently. Deshaun Watson continued his campaign for OROY as he torched the Titans defense for 57 points and looked to really connect with his receiver out of 3 receiver sets and route combinations. My Super Bowl champs in Pittsburgh seemed to find their rhythm offensively, especially my guy Le'Veon Bell who finally topped the 100 all purpose mark in a game. Check out my recap of the game of the week below!

Bills vs. Falcons

Coming into this game with Atlanta, the Bills had not given up a touchdown pass all season and they also set a new team record for consecutive quarters without a turnover. Yes, you read that correctly. This Bills team is taking care of the ball and playing really good defense. On offense, while Tyrod Taylor isn't doing anything spectacular, he is keeping his team in the game and making plays when they need him to. Shady McCoy has been a workhorse (no surprise) and continues to be a factor in the run and pass game. The only downside to the Buffalo offense have been the production of their receivers. Their tight end Clay has been great but outside of him no one has really stepped up, especially rookie Zay Jones who was a near lock to see more targets with the departure of Sammy Watkins but has yet to break out.

Defensively, all I can do is echo what I said before. While this defense doesn't always create a ton of turnovers, the live and die with a "bend but don't break" attitude and it has served them well so far. Linebacker Ramon Humber has been a force inside, leading the team in tackles, while veteran Micah Hyde has provided experience on the back end of the defense and leads the team in interceptions.

I unfortunately cannot say the same thing about this Falcons team, especially the offense. The numbers aren't bad but the execution was not there. Too many times Matt Ryan was pressured, mainly from his backside, causing him to release the ball earlier than he wanted to or causing an errant throw. Tevin Coleman was explosive in both the pass and run game, however losing Julio Jones to injury really hurt this team as well. Hopefully he will be bale to rest up over the bye week and come back strong against a vulnerable Dolphins secondary.

On defense the Falcons looked pretty decent. It didn't help that their offense gave up a touchdown to the Bills' defense but they did make some mistakes themselves. They were able to sack Taylor 3 times but outside of that, especially on the Bills scoring drives of 8 and 19(!) plays, there was not much pressure to be seen. The fact that Stephen Hauschka connected on 2 50 yard field goals makes it difficult to hate on this defense as well. Personally, I would really like to see more out of De'Vondre Campbell, Vic Beasley (when not injured) and rookie Takkarist McKinley.

Fantasy Free Agent Finds

QB

- Alex Smith - if he hasn't been picked up yet I would highly suggest grabbing him first with the high powered KC offense.

- Deshaun Watson - Yes he is a rookie and it is a small sample size, but what's not to love? Great arm, poise, and some weapons around him. I'm in on him as a top 10 QB the rest of the year.

RB

- Latavious Murray and Jerrick McKinnon - I couldn't finish this blog without mentioning these two. The loss of Cook is heartbreaking (literally) and these 2 will need to pick up the slack.

- Alvin Kamara - I used to be a Mark Ingram fan. I think by the end of the year Kamara is the back to own as he will see some carries and is clearly the option in the passing game that Sean Payton is going to turn to.

WR

Devin Funchess - Greg Olsen is out and Kelvin Benjamin struggles to stay healthy at times. Cam has to throw to someone.

Cooper Kupp - Jared Goff has made some strides this year and with Todd Gurley running on all cylinders this offense has potential.

TE

Charles Clay - He may already be owned but if not, grab him. Athlete in space and Tyrod Taylor's go to guy, especially in the red zone.

DS/T

Bills - If you can't tell, I like them, especially against a struggling Bengals offense.
