Top Second Inning: Bailey comes back to throw a perfect frame to keep the Cardinals off the board.

Bottom Second Inning: Reds tie the score on a wild pitch with Jesse Winker crossing the plate

Top Third Inning: Dexter Fowler drives in a pair with a double to give the Cardinals a two run lead. Yadier Molina extends the Red Birds' lead with a sacrifice fly.

Bottom Third Inning: Reds go three up, three down.

Top Fourth Inning: Despite the Cardinals getting two runners on, Bailey keeps them off the board.

Bottom Fourth Inning: Phillip Ervin cuts the deficit to one with a two-run home run.

Top Fifth Inning: Kevin Shackelford comes into the game to relieve Bailey who was pinch hit for in the bottom of the fourth. Despite allowing a couple runners on base, Shackelford keeps the Cardinals off the board.

Bottom Fifth Inning: Reds strand a runner on as they cannot score here.

Top Sixth Inning: After Shackelford got the first out of the inning, Wandy Peralta comes into the game to relieve him. Peralta gets a double play to end the inning.

Bottom Sixth Inning: Reds go down in order.

Top Seventh Inning: Michael Lorenzen comes into the game to relieve Peralta. The Redbirds get a much needed insurance run as Yadier Molina drives in one on an RBI double. Wong drives in another run on a ground out to make it a three run cushion.

Bottom Seventh Inning: Scott Schebler goes deep to cut the deficit to two runs. Cardinals Manager Mike Matheny decides to go to the bullpen as Tyler Lyons comes into the game to relieve starter Carlos Martinez.

Top Eighth Inning: Cody Reed comes into the game to relieve Lorenzen who was pinch hit for in the bottom of the seventh inning. After getting one out, Reds Manager decides to make a pitching change as Ariel Hernandez comes into the game to relieve Reed. Hernandez gets out of a second and third jam as he keeps the Cardinals off the board.

Bottom Eighth Inning: Defensive changes for the Cardinals as Alex Mejia comes into the game to play third base replacing Matt Carpenter. Reds leave two stranded as they cannot score in the bottom half of the frame.

Top Ninth Inning: Raisel Iglesias comes into the game to relieve Reed who was pinch hit for in the bottom of the eighth. Greg Garcia rips an RBI double to extend their lead to three. Alex Mejia follows with an RBI single to give the Redbirds a four run cushion.

Bottom Ninth Inning: Zach Duke comes into the game to relieve Lyons. Scott Schebler cuts the deficit to three with a solo home run, his second of the game. Duke however, retires the side and the game is final.
