The Reds are off to the worst start in franchise history, even costing Bryan Price his job. The offense has been less than spectacular this season and Cincinnati needs a bit of a shake up. In what was expected to be productive, the Reds need to bring in another bat help make this anemic offense spectacular again.

So how do you fix that? You call up your top hitting prospect in Nick Senzel. While Senzel's numbers right now at Louisville have been subpar to say the least, it doesn't hurt to bring him up to see what he can do. With that, he could help give Eugenio Suarez or Scooter Gennett a rest every once in a while or even do what the Reds are doing with their outfield, an infield rotation. Maybe even play some left field. This team needs more depth on the bench. He definitely provides a better option than Rossell Herrera, Cliff Pennington, or Phil Gosselin as Blandino is looked as a highly touted prospect and is versatile. You want to develop the guys you brought up through your system and keeping Blandino is a lot more worth it than Herrera, Pennington, or Gosselin.

Bringing up Senzel might also prepare him more for the big leagues as it will give him a chance to see what it is like at the MLB level. So even if he does get sent down, he can get a better mindset and know what to expect when he gets called up again. You don't necessarily want to send him down as you call him up with the expectations that he stays, but I don't see any negatives bringing him up. Getting him a taste might be the best thing for him.

Personally, I think you need to make your team better any way you possibly can and bringing up Senzel is the best option. Where to play him is the question. However, with as bad of a record that the Reds have, the only way to go is up and calling up Senzel would benefit both parties.
