Is KSDZ the most racist station in the nation...
Alright, so I was on travel over the weekend and driving home through Rushville, Pine Ridge and such, the radio got stuck on KSDZ radio. Haven't been in the car all that much, at least not enough to listen to the radio so I never turned the station.
So, I'm driving around this morning and the guy with the big bass voice that I'd pay money to have is doing his thing on the morning show. I kinda scoffed when he made a little joke about everyone in the states where medical marijuana is going to the ballot being too stoned to show up at the polling places. Later in his little show he was bantering on, taking cracks at the democratic party and Hillary Clinton. Now, I don't know about him, but it's political season and journalists, people on the air are supposed to be at least somewhat neutral, aren't they?
Well, I suppose, whoever owns the station apparently doesn't mind what the morning talk show host is spewing...I thought it so over the top it was comical.
And then, this song came on the radio...Son, Don't go near the Indians....
While I understand that this Rex Allen song came in a different time, I, having never heard this song, found it appalling and disgusting. The guy singing the song sings about the indians scalping his boy and then said guy steals the scalper's little boy to get back at him. And then the boy falls in love with his sister, etc...etc.
WTF is that?
Listen, Don't care what side of the fence anyone is on during this political season, I find the playing of that song and the mere fact that it's on the playlist disturbing and reprehensible. Grief, Gordon, Valentine, look at your neighbors and think about people that might be listening to that song.
That's terrible....will never tune into that station again, for any reason.
I'm calling to complain...anyone else? Call (308) 282-0061
