Todd County junior, Logan Herb won two matches in the very competitive Rapid City Invitational.

Was seriously debating what do do with the Todd County wrestling results from Rapid City this morning for my other job. The team competed in the very difficult, Rapid City Invitational, and just two wrestlers, Dylan Riley and Logan Herb combining for the two wins earned by the team.
Logan Herb, wrestling at 220
The Todd County junior was pinned by Thomas Vissers of Sioux Falls Washington, then Herb pinned Daniel Reisenauer of Sioux Falls Washington after getting a bye in the consolation's first round.
Nice to see Herb back on the mat this season. As a youngster, in AAU wrestling, Herb was always bigger and heavier than most of the kids he faced and he won often and placed at the state tournament regularly.
But, Herb didn't grow much his first couple years of high school and even gave up wrestling after lossed piled up against the MEN he was competing against. It takes a lot to get on the mat after enjoying success early in life and then running into a brick wall in high school. But, Herb is now 5-4 on the season and gaining confidence and getting better with every match.
The Falcons join a bunch of schools for this weekend's Lakota Nation Invitational, and while the talent level isn't quite what the Rapid City Invitational was, that doesn't mean that championships won't be just as meaningful, hard-fought or gloriously celebrated.
