Florida Gators: Rolled over in Atlanta
The Gators did not show up for this game.This was not what you would expect from an SEC championship game. They showed some signs of life early when they scored the opening touchdown, but after that it was all down hill. Alabama had them beat in every phase of the game and it was not pretty for any Florida Gators fan.
The game started out with the opening drive for the Gators getting a touchdown to start the game. It looked like it was going to be a good start for the Gators then Alabama started to play for real. A pick six and a blocked punt for a touchdown later Alabama was starting to impose their will on the Gators.
The second half was more of the same as Alabama pummeled the Gators and won the game 54-16. This was a pretty much awful game for Florida and kinda showed us how bad this team actually was.
Yes Alabama was number one and yes this was sort of expected, but the Gators could have at least made this a game and made the score somewhat respectable. The future isn't terrible for the Gators, but things on the offensive side of the ball need to change and change fast if this team wants to compete in the future for a national title.
