Miami Dolphins: One and done

It was a long day for the Miami Dolphins defense as it was shredded by the Pittsburgh Steelers in a 30-12 rout on Sunday. The Dolphins had no answer for Le'Veon Bell or Antonio Brown and both ran wild on the Dolphins beat up secondary.

It was the Dolphins first playoff appearance since 2008 and sadly ended very similarly to that game, in a blowout. Different team, same result as the Dolphins still haven't won a playoff game in 16 years (the last one was in 2000).

Even though this is a bleak article, the future is bright for the Dolphins. With New York and Buffalo very uncertain about their futures the second place in the division is still the Dolphins to take. With a solid returning offense in Jarvis Landry, Jay Ajayi, DeVante Parker, and Ryan Tannehill the Dolphins still have a superb offense.

What they need to work on however is defense, and the offensive line. When Mike Pouncey got knocked out for the year there wasn't a great back up to take his place. On defense there were numerous injuries and a lack of depth at linebacker and the secondary. If Miami can draft well on all three of those areas the Dolphins will be as good if not better next year.

So even though this article is the end of this season, there is hope and a bright future for the Dolphins in 2017.
