New Mississippi State football coach Mike Leach, like the rest of us in the United States, has a lot of time on his hands right now due to the coronavirus shut down.

And since he can't prepare for the fall, study film, or have meetings, the former Washington State head coach has resorted to tweeting out crazy memes.

Leach has quickly become a hit on Twitter, and is giving new Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin a run for his money as most interesting college football coach account.

Just look at some of the crazy stuff he has put out in the last week.

This is just a little taste of the craziness and I have left some other, rather explicit memes out on purpose.

Leach might have gone too far when he tweeted an image of a woman knitting a noose. The caption that accompanied the picture said something about how the woman was knitting a scarf for her husband during self-quarantine.

State defensive lineman Fabien Lovett responded to the tweet with "wtf" and soon after entered his name into the transfer portal. Thought Lovett has not directly said the tweet is what prompted him to transfer, the timing is coincidental.

Leach did apologize for the tweet, saying, "I sincerely regret if my choice of images in my tweets were found offensive. I had no intention of offending anyone."

That doesn't seem to have changed Lovett's mind and he is fully ready to move on.

He has three years of eligibility left after a solid season in 2019 where he registered 19 tackles and a sack.
